The lights and everyone saying how pretty you look in your dress. I had never done something like this and I didn't even know in the first place if I wanted to! My friends said that it would be a good oppurtunity to get out of my shell and my parents thought it would be fun! I decided I wanted to be in the Jr. Miss program. I had no clue what I was getting myself into. I had never worn a formal dress and I had never seen so much hairspray used on someone before. When I got to the first practice I expected to be taught how to walk like a model and how to wave and how to dance. Well we learned to walk later but what shocked me the most was that all we did was learn a simple dance. No hard stuff no whipping into shape or going on a diet sort of thing! I started to get really excited every Saturday! I liked it alot! After the hours of hard work and interview questions and finding just the right hair and makeup and dress etc..... I was ready. The night came and I was so nervous for my talent. When I went out there it was like I was the only one out there so I played like I was in my room. Nailed it!!! After we were all done with the program it was time for awards. I waited and waited and it was getting towards the end when I heard my name called! I was like what had I won? I had won the spirit award!! I was so happy and so was my family! I was glad I did it, it made me come out of my shell and be a little more crazy and outspoken. Im really glad that I did the Jr. Miss program.
