A new year, a fresh start! I thought that was going to be a good thing. I thought that hey Im in high school now throw those childish things away! I was going to reinvent my self and become a totally different person. That was my first thought.
Volleyball came around just before school started and I got on the C-team. School started and it was our first home game. Well we all got dressed up and spent the day being all excited and nervous at the same time. The time for the game came and I was ready first one in the locker room first one out!
I was ready to play. My wardrobe though was alittle on the slow side of things. I looked down at my shoes because I tie my shoes on the court, well I looked down and I had two different shoes on! I had just grabbed them out of my closet that morning before getting on the bus.
I was so happy though that I had a left and a right. So I played with two different shoes. One shoe would stick because it was my court shoes but the other slipped alot and so sometimes I would go after the ball and end up in the splits! My parents came up to me after and asked me if this was some kind of good luck charm or something and I said no it wasn't I was just in a hurry. Now everyone makes jokes about it and remind me no matter what sport to always look at what shoes Im grabbing!
